My Favorite Apps

There is no denying that we are lucky to live in a world rife with technology which can be both a blessing and a curse. For the longest time I refused to join the smartphone hype until I absolutely had to because of work and school. Then, once I started teaching, I realized that instead of rejecting technology, it’s much healthier and more helpful to simply learn to use it for good things. Don’t use it to distract yourself and miss out on life, but use it to enhance your experiences and your life.

Don’t get me wrong, these days I have a few apps that kill a lot of time I probably should give them, but I also try to use it in ways that are inspirational and even helpful at encouraging and assisting me in reaching my goals. That’s why, today, I thought it would be fun to share with you guys my favorite apps on my phone.

*June Favorites 2019

There is no denying that I love summer and this has been an amazing month full of summer loving and fun. Yes, the heat can get crazy. Yes, the bugs can be icky. But there is nothing sweeter than a summer sunset or a warm summer night, so I have been truly enjoying myself.

I’ve been super busy and loving every second of it as usual. Honestly, even though I get summers off, it always feel as though I’m busier when I’m not at work, but it’s a kind of busy that makes me so happy. Plus, this month there were quite a few celebrations, which you know I absolutely adore, so they were a pleasure to write about as well. There was so much that happened, so let’s jump right in.

May Favorites-2019

May has been the month I’ve been waiting for since January and it took its sweet time getting here. I think it’s because my Spring Fever was on a whole new level this year and once Spring did finally arrive, there was so much rain that I just didn’t really feel like it was warm enough until recently. So you cannot understand how grateful I am that it was a bright, warm month–just what I’ve needed!

This month was filled with the normal end of the year stresses (which I kind of talked about in a post that was really fun to write) but along the way there were some amazing things I got do and experience, so I have felt very blessed this month. And, of course, I wanted to share some of these wonderful things that became my favorites with you all, so let’s jump right in.

April Favorites 2019

April is already over and what a month it has been. All the sunshine and blooming has got me in a great mood and I’m so excised that it’s already time for another monthly favorites post. This month was packed full of things that kept me busy and smiling from sun rise to sunset.

Like with every month, there were definitely ups and downs, but we’re at the time of year when I start getting antsy because I know summer is right around the corner and I can’t wait to feeling the heat as soon as I step out the door. Plus, it’s almost time for tan lines and super cute summer clothes, so while I hate to see time slipping away, I love knowing what’s just around the corner. So, let’s hold onto this month for a little longer and talk about my favorites for the month of April.

March Favorites 2019

We’re only three months into the year and I was already so excited to get a nice break from work. I’ve been working so hard to make the choice to make this a happy year and so far I’ve been meeting my goals or remaining conscious that it might be a bad hour, morning, afternoon, or day, but it’s not a bad life. Keeping that in mind has really put a lot of things into perspective and I feel like I’m on the right path to being a better person, which is awesome!

This month is also, officially, one year of blogging for me and it has been the adventure of a lifetime that I’m looking forward to continuing this endeavor. So, as usual, let’s dive into my monthly favorites so I can help spread all the positivity that this month and blogging, in general, has brought me!

February Favorites- 2019

We’re already two months into the year and it’s already been quite a ride. Some days it feels like it has been going extremely slowly and then I blink and we’re already nearly sixty days down. How crazy right?

This was a month of love, and as a single person, I feel as though I tend to dread this month. Not only am I not a huge fan of having romance constantly thrown in my face, but this is also the time of year when I’m getting really tired of the dark, cold weather. Luckily, however, this month I have been really pleased with keeping up the positivity and learning to keep my head up instead of getting down about the season. So, naturally, I have to share those favorites with you!

*Movies I Love

With Valentine’s day around the corner, I know lots of people are probably planning on a date night with their loves. And since it seems as though a lot of the classic dinner dates include dinner and a movie, I’ve been thinking a lot about my favorites. The ones I’ve watched time and time again and they never fail to keep me entertained.

That’s why, today, I thought it would be fun to share some of those favorites with you guys. Honestly, there are so many that are coming out in theaters this month, just in time for the holiday of love, but to me, there are times when what I love the most is curling up on the couch and watching one of my go-to’s. There’s something so lovely and comforting about those old movies you already have great memories with and they make me so happy, so why wouldn’t that be a perfect way to spend a day devoted to romance? Create a new memory with the movie and your loved one. Maybe one in my list will strike your interest:

January Favorites- 2019

It’s been an interesting start to the year, but I know it’s incredibly important for me to remain positive. When I was in elementary school, our counselor used to do morning announcements and she always ended by saying “make it a great day, or not. The choice is yours.” Not only was that amazing life advice, but it is also something I want to be incredibly conscious of for this entire year, because I know that in order to make it a fantastic one, I’m going to have to actively make an effort to ensure that it’s as wonderful as I want it to be.

So I’m excited to be carrying over some of my favorite posts to do, which, of course, are my monthly favorites! I loved that I got to end last year with a favorites post and I’m excited to end the first month of this new year with one as well. And I’ve got quite a few beautiful things to talk about, so let’s go!

December Favorites- 2018

Guys, what a year! I can hardly believe it’s over, but I can’t wait to see what next year has in store. This last month has been a crazy one for sure, filled with finals, cold weather, sporting events, holidays, baking, cleaning, cooking, and so much more! This was also the year that I started bogging, so it will forever hold a really special place in my heart. It has been one crazy adventure and I’m sure next year will be full of more friends to be made.

That’s been my favorite thing about this experience: I’ve made some really good friends through blogging. I love reading their content, because they’re not only super talented people, but they’re incredibly inspiring and insanely supportive! It’s a wonderful community here and I hope they all had a great year as well.

And, while we’re talking about favorite things, it’s that time again, where I share my favorites from the month.

November Favorites- 2018

Oh my gosh, y’all what an adventure November has been. I’ve been insanely busy for the last four weeks and although it’s been kind of stressful, I’ve also had so much fun. If you’re new here or just haven’t been paying attention to the blog this last month, then welcome (back). I did NaNoWriMo this month in addition to keeping up with this blog, playing in an independent volleyball league, working full time, going to my kiddo’s sporting events, and sticking with my marathon training (without even skipping a run!). So it’s been crazy, but I’ve gotten a lot done.

So this month a lot of my favorites have to do with writing, but even though it seems to run my life at this point, I found lots of other things this month that I wanted to share with you all!
